Always lovely to hear from delighted customers

Because we’ve been in business for so long, we get many calls from customer of some 30 years standing.

It’s always great to hear from them, especially when our trampolines are still going strong and they just need a little advice on maintenance and tips on what parts they might need.

A big thank you for making our mat and for the incredibly quick delivery.

Your service over the phone was very helpful and we’re so happy to be able to use our old model trampoline again.

Kindest regards,
Kathy

Trampoline Summer Care: Essential Tips for Maintenance

As the summer season kicks in, it’s the perfect time for trampoline enthusiasts to enjoy outdoor fun. But the rising temperatures and increased use can take a toll on your trampoline. At Topline Trampolines, we know the importance of maintaining your trampoline during these warmer months.

Here’s a simple guide to keep your trampoline in top condition throughout the summer.

1. Regular Cleaning is Crucial

Summer means more dust and debris which can accumulate on your trampoline. Begin with a gentle brush to remove any loose debris. Then, use mild soap and water to clean the mat and safety pads. Avoid harsh chemicals or pressure washers, as they can damage the material. Regular cleaning not only keeps the trampoline safe for use but also prolongs its life.

2. Check for Wear and Tear

Doing inspections is vital, especially in summer when trampolines are used more often. Check for any signs of wear or tear on the mat, springs, and safety net. Look for any possible holes, loose threads, or weakened springs. If you spot any damage, it’s crucial to replace the parts immediately to prevent accidents.

3. Protect Against Sun Damage

The harsh Australian sun can be damaging to your trampoline, causing the material to weaken and fade. Consider investing in a UV-resistant cover to protect it when not in use. This not only shields the trampoline from direct sunlight but also keeps it clean and reduces the frequency of washing. This makes sure you don’t have any extra work to do.

4. Stay Hydrated and Sun-Safe

This is more of a general rule for everyone… But for trampoline users, it’s just as important. Ensure that everyone using the trampoline stays hydrated and wears adequate sun protection. It can be in a shaded area but not close enough to hit possible branches.

5. Monitor the Weight Limit

Summer gatherings often mean more kids wanting to jump at the same time. Especially when everyone is over for a BBQ. But it’s important to adhere to the weight limit of your trampoline to avoid undue stress on the springs and mat. Overloading can lead to irreversible damage or, worse, accidents.

6. Secure Your Trampoline Against Summer Storms

Summer storms can be sudden and fierce. We have plenty of them in QLD where the winds can be fierce. Ensure your trampoline is securely anchored to the ground to prevent it from becoming airborne during high winds.

7. Lubricate the Springs

Humidity and frequent use can cause the springs to lose their elasticity and become noisy. Regularly lubricate the springs with a silicone-based lubricant to maintain their flexibility and prevent rust.

8. Educate on Safe Usage

Finally, ensure that everyone using the trampoline understands the rules of safe usage. One person at a time, no dangerous stunts, and always supervised by an adult – these simple guidelines can prevent accidents.

By following these tips, you can ensure that your trampoline remains a safe and enjoyable place for summer fun.

Regular maintenance not only extends the life of your trampoline but also ensures the safety and enjoyment of everyone who uses it. So, here’s to a summer full of healthy, high-flying fun!

Trampoline Exercises for Adults: It’s Not Just for Kids!

While trampolines are often associated with children’s play, they offer heaps of health benefits for adults too. Trampoline exercises for adults are an effective way for parents to get fit and have fun, of course! Let’s what this is all about below with the benefits it brings.

1. Low-Impact Cardio

The main advantage of trampoline exercises is that they are low-impact, meaning they are easier on your joints compared to running or jogging. You can’t tell us that you will love running more than jumping on a trampoline?!

Well, a simple bounce on the trampoline gets your heart rate up and improves your cardiovascular health. Start with a gentle bounce, keeping your feet on the trampoline, and gradually increase the intensity as you feel comfortable.

2. Core Strengthening

Trampoline workouts are incredibly effective for strengthening the core. Maintaining balance during bouncing engages all your core muscles. Exercises like tuck jumps, where you pull your knees to your chest mid-jump, or pike jumps, where you stretch your legs out in front of you, can intensify the workout for your abdominal muscles.

3. Improve Balance and Coordination

Rebounding on a trampoline is an excellent way to improve your balance and coordination. As you bounce, your body must constantly adjust to maintain equilibrium. This not only helps in enhancing coordination and motor skills but also sharpens focus and concentration. How good is that?!

4. Full-Body Workout

Trampoline exercises engage multiple muscle groups. Squats, for example, can be performed on a trampoline to add an extra challenge to your leg workout. Even a basic bounce engages your legs, glutes, and core, offering a full-body workout with every session so you can feel that burn!

5. Enhanced Flexibility

The act of bouncing on a trampoline stretches and strengthens the muscles, leading to improved flexibility. Over time, this can reduce the risk of injuries and improve overall body movement.

6. Stress Relief

Physical activity, especially something as fun as bouncing on a trampoline, is a great stress reliever. The motion of jumping can help release endorphins, the body’s natural mood elevators, leading to reduced stress and anxiety levels.

7. High-Calorie Burn

Trampoline exercises can burn a significant number of calories. It’s a highly effective way of losing weight and maintaining a healthy body weight, as it combines cardio and strength training.

8. Safe for All Fitness Levels

Whether you’re passionate about fitness or just starting out, trampoline exercises can be tailored to your fitness level. You control the intensity and pace, making it a versatile workout option for adults of all ages and fitness backgrounds.

10. Fun Factor

Perhaps the most overlooked aspect of trampoline exercises is the fun factor. It doesn’t feel like a workout, yet provides all the benefits of one. It’s a joyful way to get fit, making it easier to stick with your fitness routine.

Trampolines offer much more than mere fun for kids; they can be a fitness tool for adults as well. By integrating trampoline exercises into your daily routine, you can significantly enhance your health and overall well-being, all while enjoying every jump and bounce.

It’s time for parents to step up and rediscover the joy and health benefits of trampolining!

Awesome Olympic Trampoline Facts

Who doesn’t like some interesting Olympic trampoline facts?! Well, the 2000 Summer Olympics were the first to feature trampolining as an official sport, and it’s been enjoyed by athletes around the world ever since. Several high-profile athletes campaigned tirelessly and successfully so they could compete on such a world stage! It just so happens we stock Olympic trampolines

Fact 1: The inventor of the trampoline always wanted it to become an Olympic event.

George Nissen, the man who created Mister Kangaroo, was a big supporter of trampolining as an Olympic sport. Even after he stopped making and selling trampolines, he campaigned for years to make his dream a reality. In 2000, when trampolining became an Olympic event, he attended the games with his daughter Dian.

Fact 2: Trampolinists always wear special footwear

Professional trampolinists avoid getting rugburn by wearing special socks or jump shoes.

Fact 3: Scoring is based on three factors

In order to win, competitors must perform certain moves in a set time. Points are given for difficulty and deducted when mistakes are made. This is added together with the “time of flight” score that is measured by a machine (introduced as an official metric in 2011)

Fact 4: There are two event categories, individual & synchronised.

The “synchronized” event was introduced into the world championships in 1966 and has been part of the Olympic games since 2000.

We love these Olympic trampoline facts as it makes us relate to the products we have such as our Olympic inground trampoline. Which are large, durable, and sure to provide everyone hours of outdoor fun! Contact us with questions or to discuss installing trampolines inground at home.

Trampoline physical activity is better than running, plus fun!

The most comprehensive and effective form of physical activity is a trampoline. Experts from NASA reported that it’s 68% more than running! Of course, we need to distinguish between playground style and Olympic-grade trampolines.

The reason is that it is not so hard on your knees & ankles. Jumping on a trampoline is the best solution for low-risk injury to your body and is generally much safer.

The health benefits of trampolining are amazing! It is an intensive workout that strengthens and stimulates your muscles and immune system.

The more you bounce, the stronger your whole body will become. You can build muscle strength and tone quickly by doing this activity!

2. High-Intensity workout for calorie burn

3. Improves balance and hand-eye coordination

By practising this motion regularly, you will strengthen your body awareness. You’ll develop greater balance and coordination which helps take control of where both hands or legs should be placed when bouncing.
